Tomorrow's test

Tomorrow you will have 2 tests:

Life Skills- credit reports, budgets, and landlord/tenant law

Math- identify the rate, base, and percent in percent sentences and word problems

Bonus!!! Just for checking in on the blog, here are your essay questions for tomorrow:

1. Why is it important to balance your budget? Give two reasons why.

2. What are two legal reasons a landlord can refuse to rent you an apartment? What are two illegal reasons a landlord might deny you rent?

You can answer them on looseleaf and bring it in tomorrow for me to check BEFORE the test.

Wednesday's Field Trip

Destination: East Strousburg University
Departure Time: 7 am (be on time!)
Return Time: App. 3 pm

Permission slips were sent home last week. No child will be permitted without permission slip.

Students are to wear uniforms and may bring extra spending money to use in the campus bookstore.

Happy April! This week we will be learning the following topics:

Life Skills:
Monday- SWBAT identify the parts of a credit report, different categories of credit scores, and 3 factors that affect credit score
Tuesday- SWBAT define “budget”, identify the parts of a budget, and balance a budget
Wednesday- Field Trip! Leaving at 7am, returning app. 3pm
Thursday- SWBAT identify 5 expenses associated with independent living
Friday- Test Day!

Math:
Monday- SWBAT identify rate, base, and percentage in 15 percent sentences
Tuesday- SWBAT identify rate, base, and percentage in 15 percent sentences
Wednesday- Field Trip!
Thursday- SWBAT identify rate, base, and percent in 10 percent word problems
Friday- Test Day

Homework will be assigned in Life Skills and Math this Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
